Newborn Hearing Screening

Easy to use
The OtoRead is simple to use, requiring only minimal training for the operator. One button starts the test. If an airtight seal is achieved, the test proceeds. A simple four arrow keypad lets the operator skip through tests, review data, setup test protocols and change basic settings.

User Defined Test Protocols
OtoRead has default protocols for TE and DP, but you can easily define your own test protocols and run them on the OtoRead

Memory storage
OtoRead has memory storage and review for up to 50 ears. However, the Russian version can manage 250 ears. Test results are shown on the display, typically with a Pass/Refer recommendation.

Output to Computer or Printer
Results can be printed on the supplied thermal printer or it can be sent to a database on a computer. The database provides the means for storing the results permanently in a professionally generated report which can then be printed to standard paper.

Test Frequencies
Up to 6 frequencies can be tested (up to 12kHz DP and 4kHz TE).
Language options: English, German, French, Spanish, Russian.

Lightweight Detachable Probe
The small and lightweight probe has a removable cone for quick cleaning or replacement should it become clogged with cerumen from the ear canal. The probe is detachable, allowing various lengths of cable to be connected so the Instrument can be set up for the convenience of the user.

Battery Power
OtoRead is powered by 4 R6 alkaline batteries. This provides power for about 300 tests.

The Otocheck is a simple to use newborn screener with an intuitive interface. Automatic pass/refer, low cost consumables and long battery life all make it the ideal way to screen with OAEs.

Grason-Stadler GSI 70 Automated OAE

When speed, safety, and accuracy matter most, hospitals choose the GSI 70 Automated OAE newborn hearing screener from Grason-Stadler, Inc. The GSI 70 is ideal for the demanding setting of well-baby or NICU nurseries: it's fast, easy to use, intelligently and ergonomically designed, and backed by Grason-Stadler's reputation for quality and service. There are two versions of the GSI 70 - the Single-Patient model, which is suited for hospitals with fewer than 500 births per year, and the Multi-Patient model, which easily meets the screening and data-management requirements of nurseries handling larger newborn populations.
You can have results in as few as 10 seconds per ear when babies are properly prepared for this noninvasive otoacoustic emissions (OAE) test. Several features make the GSI 70 one of the fastest automated OAE screeners available. Our superior probe design reduces the noise that can interfere with OAE testing, resulting in a faster, more accurate screening result. The system's intelligent design produces just enough tones to get an accurate assessment in as little time as possible. And the portable screener makes it easier and faster to bring the test to the baby. The GSI 70 offers all that you'd expect from Grason-Stadler, the leader in hearing testing since 1949.
